Raleigh Social Security Disability Lawyer Won 'Hyatt Case'

Shalala involved regulators' disregard of the applicants' pain, which subsequently resulted in denied disability claims. The settlement order requires the Social Security Administration (SSA) to reconsider more than 75,000 cases, now sometimes referred to as 'Hyatt Cases.'

Vance Jennings won the case, and the courts recognized the disabilty retroactively to November of 1986. The claimant will receive more than $100,000 in back benefits.
