A North Carolina workers’ compensation study is being created by the General Assembly. What will lawmakers address in the 2013 study?
Legislators are outlining a specialized study to review the North Carolina state employees’ compensation plans. A first draft is scheduled for submission in February 2013 and the General Assembly is slated to review the study in March. The compensation study will review:
- Career status
- Personnel protections
- Longevity pay
North Carolina has the lowest level of workers with membership in unions than any other state in the nation.
