Joining the list of many 2013 auto recalls, Ford is spreading the word on a limited recall affecting Ford Explorer, Taurus and Lincoln MKS models. These vehicles were manufactured in just a two-week period from November 29-December 12, 2012.
The recall involves a potential defect in the child safety locks. The system may cause the child safety locks to turn off automatically, defeating the purpose of the safety feature for children. To determine if your vehicle is affected, visit a Ford dealership. If your vehicle is one of the cars affected by the recall, the dealer will test and replace the locks for free.
