A lawsuit has been filed against The Strive Group by former Robert Wahlig, who claims he sustained personal injuries after slipping and falling during the course of his work for the company.

According to the suit filed on December 26 in Illinois’ Madison County Circuit Court, Wahlig was working as a contractor for the Strive Group, who assisted in completing the manufacturing and fulfillment contracts within an Edwardsville, Illinois property.

As Wahlig was on a pallet, attempting to load a semi-completed display onto rollers, the unsecured rollers caused the pallet to shift and begin to roll, which caused him to slip and fall on the slippery floor, according to the suit.

Wahlig claims that due to the fall, he was made sick, sore, lame, disordered, and disabled and sustained injuries to his left hip, including a fractured left femur that required his left hip to be replaced, and to his left leg. He also claims to have suffered disability, pain and suffering, and lost wages in addition to incurring medical expenses.

The suit alleges negligence on the part of The Strive Group for failure to provide Wahlig with a good, safe, and proper workplace, allowing the premises to become and remain in a condition that was unsafe and dangerous, failure to manage, inspect, clean, and maintain the premises and equipment, and failure to warn Wahlig of the unsafe condition. He seeks damages in excess of $50,000.
