Citations could be given to the drivers of two Wake County school buses for their role in an accident involving their buses and a car on September 16 in which one child suffered personal injuries.
Morrisville police say that one of the buses rear-ended a Honda that had stopped to turn into a driveway on Chapel Hill Road near Cary Parkway. The second bus then rear-ended the first. Both were transporting children.
Ambulance personnel examined more than a half-dozen children and all three drivers. However, only one person, an eighth-grade student, received hospital transport for injuries that were considered to be minor, according to police.
Morrisville police say that charges are pending against the drivers of the two buses.
