Officials say an unsupervised toddler has suffered personal injuries after being struck by a car in Burlington.
According to a report from The News & Record of Greensboro, a 23-month-old was struck on the afternoon of December 28. Police said the child and a sibling had been left alone in a parked car when the toddler exited the vehicle and began to walk across the street.
The child received air transport to Duke University Medical Center. The toddler’s condition and name have not been released.
