Shortly after 3 p.m. on March 26, two 14-year-old girls received transport to WakeMed after suffering serious personal injuries when they were struck by a vehicle as they were crossing Durant Road in Raleigh, police report.

 

Few details about the accident were immediately available and police were urging motorists to avoid the area.

 

Police reports indicated that the accident caused eastbound traffic between Falls of Neuse Road and Raven Ridge road to be backed but, but traffic in westbound lanes remained in motion.
