Two people sustained serious personal injuries on the afternoon of October 24 when their motorcycle collided with the back of a stopped or slowing Hyundai on Interstate 40 shortly after 1:30 p.m., according to a North Carolina state trooper.
The motorcycle’s driver and passenger received transport to WakeMed in Raleigh, where they were listed in serious condition, according to Trooper Matt Young. Their names were not immediately made available, pending notification of next of kin.
Young said the driver of the motorcycle was not speeding, but was considered at fault.
