Two people died of the personal injuries they suffered in separate accidents in Robeson County, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on February 16, a man from South Carolina died after his car crashed on N.C. 904 near Fairmont.

According to Trooper J.R. Locklear, 41-year-old North Myrtle Beach resident Wesley Shane Owens was eastbound in a 2002 Lexus when the car ran off the road to the left, hit a bridge, and went back onto the road and into the path of a Tompkins Delivery Service truck driven by 30-year-old Loris, South Carolina resident Casey Devone Spivey. The Lexus then hit a guardrail before finally coming to rest in the road. Spivey was uninjured in the crash.

In another incident, investigators are still attempting to identify the person who died in a February 17 crash on Elrod Road near Alford Church Road at approximately 12:15 a.m.
