For the second time in a week’s time, a motorcyclist in the Triangle suffered fatal personal injuries in an accident.
Police say that on April 11, 50-year-old Youngsville resident Lawrence Barrett Joseph died after a collision between the Harley-Davidson he was operating and a sport utility vehicle. Barrett was riding on Elm Avenue, near the South White Street Intersection in Wake Forest when he collided with a Ford Freestyle that was traveling north on South White Street.
According to eyewitnesses, Barnett laid his motorcycle down during his approach to the intersection shortly before the impact. The Freestyle’s driver said she never saw him.
In the other recent motorcycle accident in the Triangle, 45-year-old Holly Springs resident Anthony Brannon died after losing control of his Harley-Davidson on Reedy Creek Road just outside Raleigh.
