Teenagers Family Awarded $5.25 Million
A 16 year old’s family was awarded $5.25 Million from a Trucking Company and Delivery Service in a wrongful death suit. The complaint alleged that the Trucking Company did not properly train or supervise the driver of the truck and permitted the driver to drive a truck with defective parts. The teenager was killed when the defendant ran a red light and struck the teenager's vehicle killing her. The driver of the truck plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving and was sentenced to two years in prison.
