A man from North Carolina suffered fatal personal injuries in a single-vehicle crash on the morning of April 7 on S.C. 38, approximately three miles south of Latta, South Carolina.
The accident occurred at around 7:15 a.m. South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Sonny Collins said that the vehicle, which the victim was a passenger in, ran off the right side of the road and the driver overcorrected, resulting in the truck overturning multiple times.
The victim was identified as 49-year-old Randleman, N.C. resident Juan Luis Egusquiza. He was ejected during the crash.
Collins said the driver, Asheboro, N.C. resident Jesus Lopez, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
