Raleigh, NC (May 17, 2026) – A 54-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Friday, May 15, in Raleigh. The collision happened around 9:00 p.m. on New Bern Avenue.

According to officials, Nicole Shawnette White was attempting to cross the street when a vehicle struck her on New Bern Avenue. The driver did not remain at the scene.

Emergency crews responded after receiving reports of the crash. White was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries. The vehicle involved in the accident has not been located.
