Police Identify Pedestrian Killed On I-95 As Dunn Woman
A woman who suffered fatal personal injuries while walking on Interstate 95 on January 19 has been identified by the North Carolina Highway Patrol as 62-year-old Dunn resident Annie Doris McCoullough.
At approximately 3 a.m. on the day of the accident, McCoullough died after being struck by a vehicle.
According to a spokesman, McCoullough had identification on her, but the Highway Patrol has been unable to contact her family.
The spokesman said it is unknown why McCoullough was walking on the road.
A Silver Alert had been issued for McCoullough earlier in the week after she went missing from her home. The alert said she was believed to be suffering from dementia or another cognitive impairment.
