A Fayetteville crash on Interstate 95 near North Carolina Highway 210 on the morning of Sunday, June 7 in which some people were thrown from a van and suffered personal injuries required the northbound lanes to be closed for about an hour and a half.
According to state troopers, the driver of the van, 23-year-old Donato Flores fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in the vehicle leaving the northbound side of the road and overturning at approximately 7:30 a.m.
There were ten passengers traveling in the van, some of which were ejected from the vehicle into the woods. Troopers say they received transport from paramedics to Cape Fear Valley Health System with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to footage shown by WRAL, the van sustained severe damage and the front windshield was completely destroyed.
