Raleigh, NC (August 2, 2026) – A passenger was injured after a pickup truck crashed into an apartment building on Forest Oaks Drive in North Raleigh on Friday, July 31. The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. in the 5600 block.

Investigators said the pickup struck an occupied apartment. No residents inside the building were injured.

Emergency units arrived and assisted the people involved. Crews transported the passenger to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The driver reportedly left before emergency units arrived. Investigators have not released the identities of the driver or passenger.

Officials from the Raleigh Fire Department inspected the building and determined that it was structurally safe. No residents were displaced.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
