The North Carolina Highway Patrol said that a man from Hope Mills suffered fatal personal injuries in a two-vehicle wreck north of Pembroke.
Trooper Will Richardson said that 20-year-old Daniel Lee Rogers was pronounced dead at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
Rogers was westbound in a 2003 Honda on St. Anna Road, less than a mile north of Pembroke as he reached the intersection of Prospect Road, according to Richardson.
Richardson’s report said that Rogers had stopped at the intersection for a stop sign, but when he began traveling through the intersection, his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door by a Toyota sport utility vehicle driven by 21-year-old Goldsboro resident Brittany Lynn Grantham.
Neither Grantham nor her passenger, 21-year-old Pembroke resident Courtney Hill, were injured.
