A motorcyclist required hospital transport for personal injuries suffered in a collision with a sport utility vehicle on Raeford Road in Fayetteville on the afternoon of June 14.
The accident took place shortly after 2:30 p.m. near the intersection with Hope Mills Road.
According to police, a Ford Expedition exited a business parking lot, turning into the motorcycle’s path on Raeford Road.
The motorcycle’s operator received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. No information about the patient’s condition was immediately released.
The SUV’s driver received a citation for failure to yield to traffic.
The accident caused traffic on Raeford Road to be completely shut down for approximately 30 minutes.
