Motorcyclist Dies In Crash
11/17/2008On July 2, a man died from the personal injuries he sustained after a car hit the motorcycle he was driving on Spring Hill Church Road west of Lillington.
On the day of the crash, 50-year-old Edward Ray Moore was northbound on Spring Hill Church Road when he drifted left of center on a curve in the road and was struck by the vehicle being driven by 24-year-old Dulce Maria Chure-Juanohi. After the accident, both vehicles were pushed off the scene and the car struck the motorcycle once more before both came to a stop.
Moore was pronounced dead and the scene. Chure-Juanohi only sustained minor injuries and her two passengers, including an infant, were unharmed.
The accident is the third fatality within a two-year span on Spring Hill Church Road. Since January 2005, six have died from accidents on the road.
