A new report from AAA Carolinas shows drivers where the most dangerous counties are in North Carolina. Based on vehicle accident reports, not only does the study show where the most accidents happen, but the common types of accidents that are consistently associated with the same areas.
These reports, although not the same, are similar to the statistical information that insurance companies rely on when quoting auto insurance policies. Based on 2012 accident reports:
Dangerous Counties for NC Motorcycle Accidents
- Graham (Where the "Tail of the Dragon" is located.)
- Alexander
- Alleghany
Dangerous Counties for NC Truck Accidents
- Anson
- Washington
- Montgomery
Dangerous Counties for Car Collisions in North Carolina
- Pitt
- New Hanover
- Person
Although our car accident lawyers are based out of Wake, Harnett and Cumberland Counties, we service accident victims across all points of North Carolina. Wake County--frequently topping the "best places to live" and other such national lists--came in second in the state in a less flattering category: 2nd Deadliest County in North Carolina.
