A man suffered fatal personal injuries on the night of September 25 approximately three miles north of Zebulon in a single-vehicle accident.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says that 26-year-old Wendell resident Alexis Valladares was driving on N.C. 96 when his vehicle ran off the road, collided with two trees, and overturned.

Valladares was the lone occupant of the vehicle. He was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected during the crash.

Troopers are awaiting the results of a blood test in order to determine if alcohol was a factor.
