Raleigh, NC (June 14, 2026) – A man died on Saturday morning, June 13, after a hit-and-run crash on the 3300 block of Buffaloe Road in Raleigh.
Emergency units responded after receiving reports of the deadly crash. When officers arrived around 3:09 a.m., they found 32-year-old Detrick Arnold dead in the roadway.
According to authorities, a large SUV struck Arnold and continued outbound on Buffaloe Road without stopping. Investigators said at least one additional vehicle then ran over him after he was already in the roadway.
Officials have not confirmed whether Arnold was crossing or standing in the roadway when the first vehicle hit him. The driver of the SUV has not been identified.
The Raleigh Police Department is still investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
