A woman suffered fatal personal injuries in a single-vehicle crash on the morning of March 9 approximately two miles south of Laurinburg, the North Carolina Highway Patrol reported.
According to a report filed by Trooper R.C. Carlyle, the crash was reported shortly after midnight on Hasty Road.
The report said that 49-year-old Laurinburg resident Lisa Wilkes Vallandingham was northbound on Hasty Road when her vehicle ran off the road to the right, collided with a mailbox, skidded back onto the road, ran off the road to the left, and overturned.
Vallandingham was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report.
Vallandingham received transport to Scotland Memorial Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
