Johnston Teens Injured In Accident


A driver was charged in a wreck involving four teenagers that attend West Johnston High School.


Darline Desdhenes, of Clayton was charged with driving left of center in a head-on collision at N.C. Highways 210 and 50 on April 22. According to troopers, Desdhenes swerved several times before her Ford Mustang hit the Honda occupied by the students.


Erin Marshall was the driver of the Honda.


One of the passengers, Mitchell Barton, was airlifted to Duke Hospital. Two other passengers, Joseph Mannino and Bradley Austin were taken to WakeMed.
