One person suffered fatal personal injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Hoke County on March 25, the North Carolina Highway Patrol reported.
According to a spokesman for the NCHP, the crash took place shortly after 9 p.m. on McFarland Blue Road near Montrose Road, approximately two and a half miles west of Five Points.
The report filed by Trooper F.K. Crumpler said that 24-year-old Raeford resident Hugo Hernandez Rodriguez was southbound when his vehicle ran off the road to the right. He overcorrected and his vehicle ran off the road to the left and struck a tree.
The cause of the crash was not indicated in the report.
