A woman from Greensboro is faced with multiple charges after police say she struck a man on a moped, who suffered fatal personal injuries in the accident.
Police say that at about 2:30 a.m. on August 1, 34-year-old Laree Johnson was traveling along West Florida Street in a 199 Honda Passport when she turned onto Hardie Street and struck a moped operated by Victor Cruz-Orosco.
Cruz-Orosco received hospital transport, but was later pronounced dead there.
Upon locating Johnson, police plan to charge her with felony death by vehicle, driving without a license, and driving while intoxicated.
