Kristi Lynn Riggins of Brunswick County was killed in a wreck Thursday evening, October 23 near Sanford, North Carolina.
Gregory Starick of Pinehurst, NC was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with road rage. Starick swerved his truck into another lane of traffic, causing driver, Timothy Fox, to swerve his SUV that had passengers including Riggins. Fox over-corrected his SUV and turned over, causing Riggins and another passenger to be thrown from the vehicle.
Other passengers in the SUV, Christopher Garcia of Lillington and Matia McCauley of Sanford were airlifted to UNC Hospital
According to reports, there were three people critically injured and one confirmed death.
