Durham, NC (August 8, 2026) – A man became trapped inside a truck after a two-vehicle crash on Rockford Road in Durham on Wednesday night, August 5. The accident occurred at about 9:46 p.m.

Initial reports indicated that a Honda and a truck collided on Rockford Road. After the crash, the truck struck a tree, leaving the male driver unable to exit because his door was jammed.

Emergency units arrived shortly afterward and assisted those involved. Fire and EMS crews worked to free the driver from the truck.

The man remained conscious during the extrication. Further information about his injuries has not yet been released.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the wreck.
