A woman faces charges after her car collided with a house in Wendell on the evening of July 17. Personal injuries were involved in the accident.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported 19-year-old Jennifer Winfred Parker was leaving her house on Coharie Drive when she ran off the road and struck a house on the same road.
Parker received transport to Johnston Memorial Hospital in Clayton to undergo treatment for a minor neck injury.
Troopers charged Parker with failure to maintain lane control and DWI. They said she was impaired because of a prescription medication.
Troopers said that the house’s side porch sustained approximately $5,000 worth of damage. No one inside the home was reported to have been injured.
