According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, a man from Cameron died of the personal injuries he suffered on the morning of August 17 when his vehicle ran off N.C. 24 and overturned.
The report filed by Trooper J.E. Stahl said that 57-year-old Steven Fusfore was northbound on N.C. 24/27, in the direction of Sanford, shortly before 8 a.m. when the Ford SUV he was driving ran off the road to the right. He was able to bring the vehicle back onto the road, but it again veered off the road to the right. The vehicle then overturned, coming to a rest on its roof.
The report says that Fusfore was wearing his seat belt and speed was not cited as a factor in the crash.
