Boy Fractures Skull While Fleeing Dog
11/17/2008On June 2, a 17-year-old Wisconsin boy sustained personal injuries while fleeing a Rottweiler that had broken its chain. The boy ran into a tree and fractured his skull.
According to police from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the dog broke loose after the teen had begun running from it. The police say that, with the dog in pursuit, the boy crashed into a tree and hit his head on the ground, fracturing his skull.
According to police, the boy suffered bleeding in his brain, but the hospital was able to stabilize his condition. Police say he was never attacked by the dog; in fact, the dog licked him after he had fallen.
Police say the dog’s owner was given a citation for not keeping it behind a fence.
