Woman Killed In Raleigh Crash
On the morning of December 4, a female driver died of the personal injuries she suffered during an accident on Durant Road in Raleigh.
According to the wreck report from the Raleigh Police Department, the driver was eastbound on Durant Road heading towards Garvey Drive in the center turn lane and entered the opposing traffic lanes. She then overcorrected, ran off the road to the right, struck a tree, and ended up in a ditch.
According to police, the vehicle caught fire at some point during the accident.
The name of the victim has yet to be released by officials, pending notification of next of kin. The wreck report revealed that the victim was female.
