Police in Wilmington, Vermont said that a 61-year-old woman suffered personal injuries after being allegedly attacked by a dog while walking in the area of Higley Hill Road on October 11.

 

Shirley Kasanoff was taking a walk shortly before 1:30 p.m. when she was allegedly bitten by a dog owned by Vicki Haggerty, according to Wilmington Town Manager Bob Rusten.

 

Police say Kasanoff suffered injuries to her leg from being bitten while walking along the roadway.

 

The Wilmington Selectboard was to hold a hearing on the incident per the town’s animal control ordinance at 4 p.m. on October 12.
