New Concussion Reporting Tool From UNC Greensboro
Posted on Mar 02, 2016
Two North Carolina professors were awarded a grant that will fund development of a new tool for concussion reporting. The professors, David Wyrick and Jeff Milroy, plan to use the funds over a few years to research, build, and test an online tool. According to the Greensboro News & Record, the professors hope to spread awareness about concussions so that individuals suffering brain injuries don't move forward without the right treatment.
Professor David Wyrick has received multiple grants over the years. He's taught personal health and community health classes, among others. He has a Ph.D. in Educational Research Methodology. Professor Jeff Milroy has a masters in public health and a doctorate in public health education. Together, their forthcoming tool can help educate university students, athletes, and the general public on the detection of concussions and the consequences of not treating concussions.
