Christy of Charlotte, North Carolina has recalled 8,600 women’s bathrobes because they have failed to meet the federal flammability standard for clothing textiles and pose a risk of being burned. There has been one report of a robe igniting but no injuries have been reported.
The recall involves women’s wrap bathrobes with long sleeves and a belt. They are made of 100% cotton and they have many different colors, such as aqua, white, ivory and pink. There is a label at the neck edge of the robes read "Collection Fifty Nine."
The bathrobes were sold at Bloomingdale’s department stores nationwide and on the Bloomingdale’s website from January 2008 through March 2010 for around $80.
Consumer’s should stop using the robes at once and return them to the Domestic Department in any Bloomingdale’s story for a full refund.
