Woman Sues CNN's Anderson Cooper Over Fall

An interior designer has filed a personal injury suit against CNN anchor Anderson Cooper over a fall at an old New York City firehouse Cooper is converting into a new home.

According to the suit filed by Brooklyn resident Killian O’Brien, she fell 17 feet through the hole that once held the station’s fire pole. The pole had been removed, but the hole remained uncovered.

The accident occurred in September. O’Brien’s attorney says she is lucky to still be alive.

The Manhattan firehouse was constructed in 1906 and formerly housed a unit of the Fire Patrol, a private firefighting organization backed by the insurance industry.

O’Brien has also named the building’s developer as a defendant.
