Woman Killed In Raleigh Head-On Collision
On April 26, a Raleigh woman suffered fatal personal injuries in a head-on collision on New Hope Church Road, according to police.
Police said 49-year-old Onyemma Ndokwu was driving west on New Hope Church Road around 3:30 p.m. when her 2005 Nissan crossed the center line and collided with a 1993 Plymouth van driven by 38-year-old Raleigh resident Carlos Hernandez Joya.
Ndokwu died in the crash and three passengers in the van, Carlos Hernandez Romero, Oliver Funes Machado and Yeseaia Funes, received transport to WakeMed for treatment. Their conditions were not known as of April 27.
Police cited Joya for driving without a license.
