Woman Killed In Raleigh Collision
On the morning of January 4, a woman from Raleigh suffered fatal personal injuries after losing control of the car she was driving on Leesville Road, hitting another vehicle.
A Raleigh police report said that 32-year-old Donna Nicole Wylie was traveling at an estimated rate of 79 mph in a 45 mph zone she lost control at a curve and struck an oncoming car. Her vehicle was traveling sideways when it was hit and ended up off the roadway.
The report said the driver and a passenger in the other car received transport to Rex Hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. between Shady Grove Road and Sycamore Road, north of Interstate 540.
