Woman Killed In Harnett County Crash
A woman involved in an automobile accident in southwestern Harnett County on the morning of October 16 has died of the personal injuries she suffered.
On the day of the accident, 20-year-old Stephanie Stewart, of the Anderson Creek Club Community, died shortly after the SUV she was driving collided with a tree on Ray Road, near the entrance to her neighborhood, at around 7 a.m.
According to Trooper J.C. Bunce with the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the cause of the crash was unknown. Bunce believes she may have fallen asleep.
Stewart was returning from dropping children off at one of the Overhills schools, which are also on Ray Road. Her relation to the children is unknown.
