
Woman Is Charged In Fatal Hit-and-Run
A 21-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a vehicle on Hodges Road Sunday.
Whitney Monique Mangum was involved in a dispute with 24-year-old Phylicia Olivia Price and the passengers in her vehicle.
Sometime during the dispute, the vehicle Price was driving moved forward and Mangum, who was close to the vehicle, was run over.
Mangum was taken to Duke Raleigh Hospital in a privately owned vehicle of someone near the incident.
Price left the scene of the incident, but was located by the police in the 5400 block of Tralee.
Price was arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run. She was released Sunday after posting a $50,000.00 bond. She was to appear in court on Monday.
The case is still under investigation according to the police.
