Woman Injured In Fayetteville Collision
Police said a woman sustained personal injuries in Fayetteville on the morning of April 13 when her car was struck while she was turning onto Cliffdale Road. She was briefly trapped inside the vehicle.
The accident took place at about 7:45 a.m. as Katie Feterl, no age or address provided, was making a left turn from Millstream Road onto Cliffdale Road, according to Fayetteville police spokesman Gavin MacRoberts.
MacRoberts said that Feterl, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, had the right of way when an International 4000 truck hauling a trailer with a backhoe on it collided with the car.
The truck, driven by Jacob Elliot Javia, is registered to Fayetteville-based MasTec.
Feterl received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
Police cited Javia for running a red light and failure to reduce speed.
