Holmes Transport & Logistics, a company based out of Australia that does business in Illinois, has been sued by the estate of a man who died from the personal injuries he sustained in a crash on a St. Louis, Missouri highway.
Mary Cason has filed a Wrongful Death Act suit on behalf of her deceased husband Charles Keith Cason seeking damages in excess of $75,000. She filed the suit in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County, Illinois on July 28.
Cason alleges that her husband’s vehicle was stopped or slowed in traffic when the defendant’s tractor trailer struck it. She also alleges negligence on the part of the Holmes Transport & Logistics driver for failure to maintain proper control of the vehicle, failure to keep a proper lookout, and failure to stop to prevent injury or death.
