Woman Files Suit Against Santa Who Fell On Her
On February 19, Antoinette Basso filed a personal injury suit against a man dressed as Santa Claus she claims stumbled and fell on top of her, which caused her to fall face-first into the sidewalk outside a restaurant in Chicago, Illinois.
According to the suit Basso filed in Illinois’ Cook County Circuit Court, the incident caused her to experience pain, disability and disfigurement. She seeks damages exceeding $50,000.
According to Basso, Daniel Aulwes, the man dressed in the Santa suit, seemed to be intoxicated when the incident occurred on December 7. She claims negligence and negligent battery on the part of Aulwes.
