Woman Files Suit After Fall Near Ice Machine

A woman has filed a personal injury suit against a Texas corporation, claiming that she suffered injuries after slipping and falling on ice near an ice machine.

According to the suit filed against Arks Hospitality by Elizabeth D. Thompson on March 24 in Texas’ Jefferson County Circuit Court, she was an invitee to the premises on September 9 and was walking to the ice machine when she slipped and fell, causing her to suffer left shoulder injuries and a detached retina.

Thompson also claims the experienced physical pain and suffering and mental anguish, incurred medical expenses, and suffered physical impairment because of the incident. She also claims a loss of wages and earning capacity because of the negligence on the defendants.

Thompson seeks unspecified actual damages.
