Although this dog attack did not take place in North Carolina, our dog bite lawyers in Raleigh thought it was important for victims to note the various circumstances, injuries, and potential values of other cases around the country:

A personal injury suit has been filed by dog bite victim Jane Schneider claiming that she sustained serious injuries when the dog of Michael Aleman attacked her.

According to the suit, which was filed in St. Clair County, Illinois Circuit Court on November 12, Schneider was riding her bicycle in Belleville, Illinois on October 4 when Aleman’s dog attacked her.

The suit claims that, due to her injuries, Schneider suffered pain, permanent disability, and disfigurement in addition to incurring medical expenses. She claims Aleman is liable under the Animal Control Act and seeks damages in excess of $50,000.
