A woman has filed suit against CLS Properties and its landlord, alleging that she sustained personal injuries by falling into a vent hole.
On February 17, Joan Mace filed suit against CLS Properties and Steve Osborne, claiming that she fell through a vent hole in the floor of her residence on February 21, 2009.
Mace said her right leg went down through the vent hole while her left leg remained on the floor, resulting in injuries and damages.
According to the suit, about six weeks before the incident involving Mace, the daughter of one of their friends had fallen through the same hole. Osborne was notified and had told Mace the vent hole had been repaired and covered.
Mace said that she sustained injuries to her knee, leg, and back upon falling into the vent hole.
The suit alleges negligence on the part of the defendants for allowing the vent hole to remain, resulting in Mace’s injuries.
Mace seeks compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
