A woman has filed a personal injury suit against a restaurant chain and its owner after she allegedly fell on a slippery ramp.
According to the suit filed against Hnreck Nazarian, IHOP, and BONA by Sandra Thibodeaux in Texas’ Jefferson County District Court on April 14, she tripped on a handicap ramp while at an IHOP restaurant.
The suit claims she fell because the ramp was “too slippery to be safely traversed.”
Thibodeaux claims the fall caused her to suffer permanent and debilitating injuries to her knee, back, and elbow and incur medical costs. She also claims a loss of earnings and physical pain, mental anguish, disfigurement, and impairment.
The suit alleges negligence on the part of the defendants for failure to correct the slippery condition of the ramp, failure to provide a safe place to walk, failure to properly inspect the premises, failure to warn, failure to guard against the dangerous condition, and failure to keep the ramp dry.
Thibodeaux seeks unspecified damages.
