A woman has filed a personal injury suit against another woman for a June 24, 2007 rear-end collision.
According to the suit Megan Smith filed against Carrie Wallace-Lorts in Illinois’ Madison County Circuit Court on May 18, on the day of the incident, Smith was driving north when she was rear-ended by Wallace-Lorts, who was also driving north.
The suit alleges negligence on the part of Wallace-Lorts for driving at a rate of speed that was high, dangerous, and excessive, failure to maintain proper control of her vehicle, and failure to keep her brakes in proper working condition.
Smith claims the incident caused her to become injured and incur past and future medical costs and experience past and future pain and suffering.
Smith seeks judgment of more than $50,000.
