A woman from Putnam County, West Virginia has filed a personal injury suit, asking that the city of Charleston compensate her for injuries she claims she suffered while attending an ice show at the Charleston Civic Center.
According to the suit she filed on January 5 in West Virginia’s Kanawha Circuit Court, Sandra short alleges water in one of the restrooms at the Charleston Civic Center caused her to slip and fall.
Court records say that Short took her granddaughter to see a Disney on Ice show at the Civic Center on January 7, 2007. Records do not specify the exact time, but she took her granddaughter to the restroom sometime while attending the show.
Short claims that as she was in the restroom, she fell because of water that had accumulated on the floor. She claims the fall caused her a meniscus tear that required arthroscopic surgery and injuries to her left knee that will require future surgeries to repair.
Short claims that she has suffered great physical, mental, and emotional distress and incurred past and future medical expenses.
Short seeks damages in excess of $150,000, plus costs.Post a Comment to "Woman Claims Injuries In Fall In Civic Center Bathroom"
