
A woman has filed a personal injury suit against a restaurant in Edwardsville, Illinois, alleging that she was caused to fall ill by eating a cobb salad from the restaurant.
According to the suit she filed on February 11 in Illinois’ Madison County Circuit Court, Amy Goodman ordered a cobb salad and zucchini sticks from Vanzo’s Tap Room on February 22, 2007.
After consuming her meal, Goodman claims she fell ill, was made diseased, disordered, infected, and sick, and suffered lost earning capacity. She also claims to have experienced pain and suffering, incurred medical expenses, and lost wages.
The suit alleges negligence on the part of Vanzo’s Tap Room for failure to serve foods that were not healthful, sound, and wholesome.
Goodman seeks damages in excess of $50,000.
